I’m Dan
I wasn’t always into health and fitness, for the first half of my life I was a party goer, druggy alcoholic, fun time waster. I know more than most about addiction and adapting from a tragically unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy one!
In the summer of 2020 I became a personal trainer and my goal in this industry quickly became clear.
To help people gain a belief in themselves in spite of an epidemic of negative self talk body image sensitivity and depression.
1/ Exercise is a privilege! and should be fun!
2/ If it’s not sustainable it’s not worth doing
3/ Big change comes from small habits every day.
4/ You value time above all else. And hate it when people waste it.
5/ You don’t take yourself too seriously. Life’s too short.
If you like the sound of these or even if you don’t but feel they could be good for you i think we’ll get along ok.
So a bit more about my background and my approach to health and fitness .
As i said I was relatively late to the fitness community, becoming a PT at 35
Before that I worked on building sites as a plasterer.
I was massively into music growing up and by the time i hit 18 i was heavily into the party scene
I partied hard for the following 17 years and when it all got too much for my body I was admitted to hospital and eventually got sober.
Covid hit and shortly after that an opportunity to become a Personal Trainer landed in front of me. From that point on everything changed.
The health and fitness community became my entire world and helping people get from where I was to where I had gotten became all I wanted to do and so much more.
Making a significant life change is difficult and takes work, but with the proper desire, determination and guidance it is achievable to everyone.
I have a deep understanding of how you can get caught in a negative spiral of quick fixes short term pleasures and bad habits, but a greater understanding still

Dan has been my trainer since October 2024 when I took up his offer at the time of a free trial of three sessions, aimed in particular at those of us with mental health issues. I am diagnosed with and have been suffering from complex PTSD for a long time. I took the three sessions and was so impressed with Dan that I had to continue training with him. This is one of the best life decisions I have made in many years. As I have seen constant gains in my fitness and strength under Dan’s mentoring and instruction, I have gained increasingly more self-confidence and focus as time goes by. In turn, this has led to me looking at myself with more compassion than I ever felt I could. I work hard in the sessions with Dan but always finish with a smile on my face. This could be one of the best decisions you make!
